Bear - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Cando, Saskatchewan

Prairie Pooches Rescue received Bear into their care after a whole community was watching out for her all summer. Campers and cabin owners all summer showered her with love by giving treats, sharing their steak suppers, ton of pets etc. She did have one wound to her side that healed wonderful and she came with a limp to her front right leg. Xrays show arthritis to her right front elbow that flares up when she plays real hard. Sadly whatever injury she had has caused her to develop arthritis there. This truly doesn’t slow her down! We will not recommend hard fast runs for her but nice walks are perfect. She has metacam to be given as needed for comfort and a healthy diet to help with arthritis.
Bear still acts like a young mischievous pup as is probably only around a year old herself. She likes to steal the dogs blankets or beds to reorganize the room, can be a little mouthy (but very gentle), likes to talk to you with eagerness when you come home, and really just brightens up everyone’s day who meets her. Bear travels well, enjoys other dogs company and adores every human she meets! If you are looking for a solid big girl (80lbs) please consider Bear!

Prairie Pooches Rescue is a volunteer and foster based rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes and approved adopters are required to meet the dogs at the foster homes.

Adoption fee is $300. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinations UTD, dewormed and microchipped. Adoption applications and home visits are done for all adoptions.
