Gomez - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Canal Winchester, Ohio

Do his ears hang low? Do they wobble to and fro? Well, you'll have to come see for yourself when you meet Gomez! He has been a bit timid since his arrival here at Gigi's and is waiting for a patient, loving family to help him come out of his shell. He can be sensitive to loud noises and prefers quiet spaces at this time.

He came to Gigi's after being surrendered to our partner shelter with several other doggy housemates. This being said, he really perks up when greeting other dogs here at Gigi's and may do well in a home with another dog.

Gomez loves to sniff the environment around him on long walks. He will do well with continued rewards-based training and enrichment to suite his needs post-adoption.

Gomez appears to be a Bassett Hound, but we cannot confirm without a DNA test. He is approximately 2 years old, and currently weighs 45.5 pounds.

Uncle Fester has received their full-service vet care, vaccines, is spayed/neutered, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and more. To meet this dog or any of our other ready-for-adoption dogs, visit Gigi's during our open adoption hours listed on www.gigis.org. By adopting a Gigi's Grad, you are helping other shelter dogs in need get vital care and an opportunity to find a new family, just like yours - together we're improving the lives of shelter dogs.

Gigi's offers Training and Puppy Classes, as well as Private Behavior sessions and Veterinary Behavioral options to help get families and their new furry family members off on the right paw! Check out: https://gigisbehavior.org

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
