Parton is a sweet boy who is very dog friendly! He is fairly new to rescue but catching onto home life real quick. He is a bit shy/submissive at first but quick to give kisses and snuggles. He is good with dogs of all sizes and with kids!
Parton came into rescue with mange (not contagious and easily treatable) and is underweight. His coat has begun to grow back and will continue filling out over the next few weeks. He is also gaining wonderfully and is so very happy to have regular meals and treats!
Currently, he is low energy, but I am thinking with time as he grows confident he could turn out medium energy. He likes to be near you but is okay being independent to walk around the house and outside alone.
He is mostly potty trained (very few accidents if getting outside enough, can go 7+ hours in a pen with no accident at night), so he has just a little bit more training to go on that. He is not a fan of the crate, but we are working on that also! He would also be happy to be out on a cozy dog bed or with you at night.
*Originated from: South Dakota Reservation.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
