SPIKE - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Bowling Green, Ohio

SPIKE was brought to the shelter as a stray, so nothing is known about his background.

SPIKE is a young guy, estimated to be 9 - 10 months old, he weighs 27 lbs, has had his DA2PP and bordetella vaccines and is listed as a mixed breed. SPIKE is not yet neutered, but he is on the waiting list at the vet. If SPIKE is not neutered prior to adoption, his adoption fee includes a $75 voucher to be used toward his neuter surgery at the vet of your choice.

SPIKE is a cute little guy who can be pretty skittish at first, but he is very lovable once he decides that you're ok and even jumped in one of the volunteers' lap! SPIKE would do best in a quieter home and will need a little patience from his new owner, but SPIKE is a very smart boy and will be your loyal best friend once he gains some confidence.

It is difficult to tell in the shelter setting whether or not a dog is housebroken, so it is best to assume they are not and be pleasantly surprised if they are!

SPIKE has been fine around the other dogs, but nothing is known about how he is with kids or cats since there are neither there. Please bring your kids, dog(s) and even your cat(s), if possible, to the shelter for a meet and greet with the help of the warden or deputies just to be sure everyone gets along before taking SPIKE home!
