DESCRIPTION
Meet Hobbes! 🐾
Hobbes is a big, handsome mixed breed with a big heart and so much potential! At approximately 1-2 years old, he's ready to leave shelter life behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family of his very own.
Hobbes can be a little shy when meeting new people and may need a minute to decide that you're okay. But give this boy the space and time he needs, and you'll be amazed at how quickly he starts to relax and show you his true personality.
Because of this, Hobbes is looking for a family who understands that trust doesn't have to happen instantly. He needs people who will be patient with him, allow him to approach new situations at his own pace, and-most importantly-advocate for him when meeting new people. Once he knows he's safe and has time to settle in, that shy side starts to fade and his friendly, playful personality comes shining through.
And when he's ready to learn? Watch out! Hobbes is smart and very food motivated, which makes training a great way to build his confidence while strengthening the bond with his new family. After he's had some time to decompress and adjust to his new surroundings, he'll be ready to put that clever brain to work.
Hobbes is friendly, playful, and ready to discover what life outside the shelter can be. All he needs is someone willing to give him a little time, earn his trust, and show him that the world can be a wonderful place.
And if you're thinking that two big, goofy brothers might be better than one, be sure to check out Hobbes' brother Calvin, too! 🐾❤️
Hobbes is ready for a fresh start. Could you be the patient, loving family he's been waiting for? Primary Color: Brown Brindle - White Weight: 57lbs Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
