Meet Denver!

At 9 years old, Denver may technically be a senior, but this tiny terrier still has plenty of pep in his step! His favorite way to play is a good old-fashioned game of chase — forget the toys, Denver wants YOU to run around with him.

Denver has been living in foster since arriving at FMAR, where he’s proven to be a pretty wonderful little roommate. He’s great with other dogs and does an excellent job reading their social cues and respecting their space. He also lives with two cats. While he’s gotten much more comfortable with them, cats are still VERY exciting and he may try to chase them in hopes they’ll join the fun.

Most of the time, Denver is perfectly content snoozing in his bed while his foster works. When he needs something, he’ll give a soft little bark to let you know. And when it’s time to cuddle? He’ll stand on his back legs and wait for his human elevator to lift him onto the couch or bed.

Denver can be cautious in a new environment and may need a little time for his appetite and confidence to come around. He’ll also need an adopter who can be attentive to his potty routine, especially while he adjusts. Once he’s comfortable, though, his spunky little personality really starts to shine.

Denver is looking for a cozy place to land, humans who will learn his little signals, and a spot beside you on the couch. After nine years, we think this tiny gentleman has earned it.

He is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Denver's adoption fee is $275, which covers part of the medical care he has received.

Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
