Is everyone ready to hear about the smartest dog I've ever had in my home? (And believe me... that is saying something )
This is Maxwell! What makes Maxwell so special is it is APPARENT that someone took time to train him. He has had absolutely zero accidents in his crate. None at all. Not even when his foster mom (me) is away for hours at a time. As soon as he hears the word "sit" his butt goes down immediately. He knows shake. He knows fetch. He drops his toys at your feet. He understands the word no. He knows the command "stay". He walks well on a leash. He checks every box and then some - something I've never encountered with a foster dog before. This somehow makes it so much more heartbreaking to me that this amazing intelligent boy - who is so eager to please, was hours away from losing his life.
Maxwell is a tall slender boy who will need all the extra calories to fill out to his full potential - in other words, get those table scraps ready kids
He's around 60 pounds right now, and I would be shocked if he was over two years old. He is young, extremely healthy, handsome, and heartworm negative.
He has the goofiest, silliest personality - and acts like an overgrown puppy (in the best way possible). He loves any and all toys - and after a play session, he will happily plop down into your lap. Yes, all 60 pounds of him - but stuffies, rope toys, and balls are a MUST. The happiest boy needs the happiest toys
He has not been cat tested yet (he can be upon request) but he is absolutely fine & non-reactive around other doggy friends.
If you think this wonderful and incredibly intelligent boy could be the missing puzzle piece that your family has been looking for, please apply!
