Ava is a gentle, calm, and incredibly sweet girl who is still figuring out this whole new world. She can be shy and unsure, especially around loud sounds, so she'll need a slow, patient adopter who will give her the time and space to build confidence.
And honestly, she's already making SO much progress!
She is officially housebroken. She's quiet, well-mannered, has no trouble going back to the bedroom, and happily goes into her crate.
Ava has also discovered that maybe those mysterious dog treats aren't so scary after all. She was initially unsure about the "healthy" Blue Buffalo treats, but she has now decided they are, in fact, safe to eat. Progress!
Outside, Ava has some pretty adorable opinions. She seems pretty convinced that grass is for "fretchies" and loves stretching her back legs out behind her and just lounging after her potty break.
She's also becoming very curious about the other dogs in the house. When she walks through the living room and heads toward the door, she stops to smell the rugs, chairs, air - basically EVERYTHING that tells her other dogs live here. She may just be slowly deciding that having some dog friends could be pretty great.
Ava is very sweet, gentle, and well-mannered. She would likely do wonderfully with respectful, well-behaved children. She just needs someone willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace.
This girl has already survived so much. Now she deserves a family who will show her just how wonderful life can be.
