Do you know what's remarkable about Hope?

After everything she's been through in her short life, she has every reason not to trust people. Yet somehow, she remains one of the sweetest, happiest, and most loving little dogs you'll ever meet.

Hope was once someone's pet. Someone's best friend. Someone's family.

Then one day, a supermarket employee heard nonstop scratching and barking coming from a closed dumpster behind the store. Inside was a frightened little dog who had been thrown away like trash.

We can't imagine how scared and confused she must have been. Trapped inside that dumpster, surrounded by darkness and strange sounds, waiting for the people she loved to come back for her. Waiting for the family she trusted. Waiting for someone to realize she was missing.

But no one came.

And here's the incredible part.

When employees finally opened the dumpster, Hope didn't growl. She didn't snap. She didn't react out of fear or anger. Instead, she wagged her tail, stopped barking, and patiently waited to be lifted out.

Despite everything that had happened to her, Hope chose trust.

She looked at complete strangers and believed they were there to help her. She believed they would be kind. She believed they would save her.

She hoped.

That hope eventually led her to our wonderful rescue partners, and the moment we met her, we knew she was special.

Since coming into rescue, Hope has shown us every day just how resilient dogs truly are. She loves being around people, enjoys making new friends, and greets the world with a gentle, happy spirit that is impossible not to fall in love with. There isn't a bitter bone in her tiny body. Instead of carrying the weight of her past, Hope wakes up each day ready to love and be loved.

She is a beautiful reminder of something dogs do better than humans sometimes. No matter how many times they are let down, they keep giving their hearts away. They keep believing in us. They keep choosing love, loyalty, forgiveness, and hope.

And that's exactly how she got her name.

Hope is around 2 years old, a mixed-breed sweetheart weighing just 24 pounds. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, family-friendly, dog-friendly, and ready to find the forever home she's always deserved. This little girl has so much love to give and is looking for a family who will cherish her for the rest of her life.

This little girl has already survived being abandoned by the people she trusted most. Now all she wants is a family who will never let her down again.
