Madrid - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Asheville, North Carolina

Madrid is a sweet but fearful 5-month-old pup who weighs just 12 pounds. She needs a foster home where she can continue building confidence and learning that the world isn't so scary.

Our Behavior Team has been working with Madrid, but the shelter environment isn't ideal for helping her make progress. She recently discovered that she **LOVES cheese**, which has been a wonderful tool for helping her open up and begin trusting new people!

Madrid's ideal foster home would have:

* A quiet environment
* No children, or dog-savvy children who can respect her space and go at her pace
* Ideally, a friendly and confident dog she can learn from

She'll need help with socialization, confidence building, leash walking, and learning the ropes of life in a home. We'll provide training guidance and support along the way!
