Mixed Breed and Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in York, Pennsylvania

TALA

Mixed Breed, Pit Bull Terrier
🇺🇸
York, Pennsylvania
May 10th
female, small, adult

DESCRIPTION

Tala was sadly returned after struggling to coexist with the other dog in the home. While that change has been hard on her, Tala is still the same playful, energetic girl once she feels comfortable with her people. She forms strong bonds with her family and is incredibly loyal to those she trusts. Tala can have some big feelings when meeting new people, so slow introductions and patience are very important for her success. With continued training, structure, and positive socialization, we believe Tala has so much potential to continue growing in confidence. During her previous stay at the shelter, she participated well in play groups, though she may prefer not to share her home space with another dog. This bouncy girl can sometimes forget just how big she is when she gets excited, so we believe she would do best in a home with children 13 and older. Tala is looking for a family willing to see past her initial nerves and help her become the best version of herself.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
