She had been living with her previous family since she was a kitten, but she's taken the shelter adjustment in stride! Socks was the semi-independent but affectionate companion of her caretaker; the sort of girl who will rub up, sleep in your lap, and curl up by your side, then head out to window-watch. It took no time at all for her to greet staff and volunteers with purrs and head butts.
