DESCRIPTION
Introducing SAGE!
Sage is a 3 1/2 year old American Bully rescued from a backyard breeder.
While recovering with our Bostons and Frenchies, she now believes she is a 45 lb Boston Terrier. We call her the "cartoon dog" or the "45 lb Chihuahua" because her antics are hilarious and just looking at her makes you smile.
When rescued, she was very ill from an improper C-Section which caused a raging infection and was HW positive. Sage is now cured of HW and recovered from hysterectomy surgery.
Even though she is a bigger dog, Sage loves to sit in the chair with her Foster Dad, romp and play with our Bostons and Frenchies, and sleep in the bed with her Dad. (Don't tell Evelyn about Sage sleeping in bed with her Dad!)
Sage goes to the door to ask for potty breaks or to see the UPS truck coming up the driveway. Playtime is good with smaller dogs, no loud barking, no food aggression, no chewing (except on her aggressive chewer toys). Larger dog or cat interaction is unknown.
Sage's ideal home would be loving, owner(s) that work from home, a fenced yard for play with her humans or other dogs, and lots of nutritional food.
And yes, she has a heart on her head!!
ABOUT: ENGLISH BULLDOG DOG BREED
The English Bulldog is a distinctive and beloved breed known for its sturdy build, wrinkled face, and gentle temperament. Originating in England, these dogs are characterized by their muscular frame, powerful jaw, and unique pushed in nose. Despite their tough appearance, English Bulldogs are affectionate, loyal, and great with children, making them excellent family pets. Due to their brachycephalic nature, they may struggle with overheating and breathing issues, requiring attentive care and moderate exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
