DESCRIPTION
Stella is blooming in her foster home. She is an energetic 6 month old mixed breed who is 20 lbs. She came to us when someone who purchased her decided that a puppy was to much work and kept her in a small crate all the time. It took her 3 days to trust her foster family and warm up to their dogs. She is now loving her life and so happy. She is going to make someone a wonderful addition to their family. We are in Central NJ. Email "spayme@aol.com" for an application.
ABOUT: BASENJI DOG BREED
The Basenji is a small hunting dog known for its unique traits, including a highly distinctive yodel like sound instead of a typical bark, and the inability to bark like other dogs. Originating from Africa, these intelligent and curious dogs are independent, agile, and alert, making them excellent companions for active individuals or families with experience handling their assertive nature. Recognized for their clean habits and cat like grooming behavior, basenjis require regular exercise and mental stimulation to thrive in a loving home environment.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
