DESCRIPTION
**Meet Vala!**
Vala is a 7-year-old Miniature Schnauzer weighing 14 pounds. This sweet girl is still learning to trust people and may need a little time and patience to feel comfortable and come out of her shell.
Vala absolutely loves being around other dogs and gets along well with her canine friends. She may do best in a home with another friendly canine companion who can provide companionship and help her feel more comfortable as she adjusts to her new surroundings.
Vala **requires a securely fenced yard** where she can safely explore, play, and enjoy time outdoors.
With patience, consistency, and the companionship of another dog, Vala has the potential to continue building confidence and become a wonderful addition to her future family.
A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for Vala, any resident dogs, and her potential adopters.
------
Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog. Homes with older children are often a good fit, depending on temperament. To learn more about NMDR and our adoption process, please visit our website.
