Winnie is a female Mini Schnauzer who just turned 1 this week She’s an adorable girl but is looking for a very specific home, so please read all of the details before you spend time applying for her.
Winnie’s mama was a puppy mill mama, but her puppies were born while in foster. When getting along with other dog skills were being handed out, Winnie was standing in the extra cute line unfortunately. She’s not aggressive per se, but she’s definitely socially stunted in this area. Because of this, she needs to be an only dog. She’s also very active and loves chasing, so homes with young children will not be considered. A fenced yard is a must, and people who are home a lot is a plus. Extra credit given for applicants willing to work with Winnie with a professional trainer to bring out the gem she really is!
Winnie’s positive attributes are that she’s ADORABLE, is 100% potty trained, she loves playing with toys and chews like bully sticks, she’s a good car rider, she walks quite well on a leash, she’s calm when her foster leaves and gates her into a laundry room, she tolerates a crate well and, if left open, she will retreat to it for daytime naps. She also likes to have you sing the Winnie the Pooh song to her, foster mama YouTube’d that to brush up on the lyrics!
Winnie is spayed and was very recently brought up to date on bordetella (1 yr) rabies (3yr), and distemper/parvo (3 yr). You can find our online adoption application here:
