Sugar is another little female Mini who was caught in the terrible Delta, CO breeding operation that was shut down last summer. She is one of the dogs that the receiving rescue classified as least socialized in the group. She is fine with other dogs, and has been learning to potty outside from the dogs in her foster home. She was only 3 years old when she was rescued from the breeding operation, but she is very fearful of people, and expresses her concern when her foster mom approaches! She has made progress in the time she has been in rescue, and will continue to get better with love and attention. She would do best with a “normal” dog in the home to model herself after. We would like to find someone with previous “puppymill” dog experience to adopt Sugar.
Sugar is spayed, she is up to date on her vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Sugar, go to www.cominischnauzerrescue,com and complete the on-line adoption application. We suggest that you print a copy of the application before you hit the “submit” button, just in case! We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Sugar for a visit. If you have completed an adoption application within the last 12 months, or have previously adopted from Vintage Dog Rescue and would like to meet Sugar, please let us know.
