Nico - Miniature Poodle Dog for Adoption in Williamsburg, Virginia

Hi! I’m Nico, a very special 6 year old, 8 lb toy poodle. I’m looking for a very special family and forever home. The main thing you should know is that I’m curious, courageous, and smart! And handsome, of course!

They tell me I was kept by a “backyard breeder,” which means I didn’t get the love and care a lot of dogs get, so I’m shy. They didn’t take care of my teeth, so now I don’t have any. I wasn’t allowed to walk on grass—but I’m learning to in my foster home. (That’s the courageous part!)

I need someone patient enough to help me learn all the things puppies get to learn, like how to potty outside and how to tell you when I need to go. And that it’s okay to eat even if someone is watching. (I eat well when I’m ready and in private. I potty on a pee pad. )

Because I’m shy right now, I spend a lot of time in my crate. I’m quiet as a mouse and not at all aggressive. I get along fine with other dogs, though I’m also quite happy as a loner.

I’m neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my shots.
