Meet Zella!

Meet Zella, mama to the Z litter! She will be ready to go to her new home after 6/12.
Age: ~7 years
DOB: 4/19/19
Sex: Female
Breed: Mini Poodle Mix
Current Weight: 16 lb

Dog friendly? Yes. Zella is fostered with three other small dogs and gets along well with them!
Cat friendly? Haven't tested, but I am confident she is.
Kid friendly? Zella lives with 15, 13, and 11 year old kids and loves them.
House-training: In progress.
Crate-trained: No. Zella spent the first 7 years of her life as a puppy mill mama and does not love to be crated.

Energy level: Low. Zella likes a good walk each day, but is otherwise very calm.
Best features: Super sweet personality, extremely friendly with every human, zero reactivity to other dogs/critters, the BEST walker on a leash, rides very nicely in the car.

Things to keep working on: Basic obedience, potty training, anxiety management.
Other: Because of her background as a puppy mill mama, Zella will need a home where her people are home much of the time and are willing to work with her on her anxiety driven quirks. She will be your best friend and literal shadow and give you SO much love in return. She truly just wants your love, attention, and proximity.

Zella is fostered near DeForest, WI and is available for adoption through Ma, Paws, & Me Pet Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. She will need to be adopted with a contract addendum to spay, as she cannot be spayed until her puppies have been done nursing for 30 days. She is microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Our process is as follows:

2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
