Atlas - Miniature Poodle and Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Lewiston, Idaho

Atlas came to us from our Benewah County hoarding case when he was just 5 to 6 weeks old. His start in life wasn't fair, but he's left those days behind and is discovering just how much fun being a puppy can be.

Atlas can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a few minutes, a little patience, and maybe a toy, and you'll quickly see his sweet, playful personality shine through. Once he decides you're a friend, you're in.

His DNA says he's mostly Miniature Poodle with a mix of Australian Shepherd, Miniature American Shepherd, and a few surprise ingredients. His mom, Anna Banana, weighs just 19 pounds, and we expect Atlas to stay around that size.

Here's what you should know about this handsome little guy:

🐾 He's working on potty training and making great progress.
🐾 Toys are his love language.
🐾 He's an active puppy who will need exercise, enrichment, and continued training. He's definitely not looking for a life as a couch ornament.
🐾 We'd love to see him in a home with another playful, well-socialized dog to help continue building his confidence and show him the ropes.

Like any puppy, Atlas may occasionally confuse your favorite shoe for a chew toy and believes every leaf blowing across the yard deserves immediate investigation. But he's also incredibly sweet, eager to learn, and ready to become someone's best friend.
