Gia - Miniature Poodle Dog for Adoption in Courtice, Ontario

CALGARY, AB - Gia is a 15-month-old Toy Poodle who has already experienced big changes in her young life. She was originally owned by a family who, for reasons we don't know, gave her to a neighbour. That neighbour already had an older dog, and for the first month or so, Gia and the resident dog got along well.

Over time, however, some challenges began to emerge. Gia became very attached to the person she felt safest with and became uncomfortable sharing that person, as well as some of her toys, with the other dog. As the relationship between the dogs became more difficult, her family realized that they could not provide the supervision and support Gia needed, particularly with everyone away from home during the workday.

They made the difficult decision to ask SPIN for help, hoping we could find Gia a home better suited to her needs. Of course, we said yes.

She is now in a foster home in Calgary, Alberta, living alongside two other dogs. With consistent attention, love, and patience from her foster family, Gia is able to live peacefully alongside them
