Meet Coco! (Also known as "Stud Muffin"... and occasionally "Cujo.")
At a mighty 10 pounds, Coco has somehow convinced himself he's the toughest dog in the room.
Strangers? Hard pass.
He'll happily announce your arrival with barking, throw in a growl for dramatic effect, and if you ignore his very strongly worded opinions, he may decide his teeth need to join the conversation. Meeting Coco is less of a greeting and more of an interview and he's pretty selective about who gets the job.
The funny thing is, once you're on the VIP list, "Cujo" magically becomes "Stud Muffin." He's just convinced that trust should be earned, not given away for free.
Coco has successfully lived with both dogs and cats, proving he's capable of making friends... just maybe not with the mail carrier. He isn't house-trained, so his future family should be prepared to help him learn the ropes with patience and consistency.
Coco is looking for an adult home that appreciates a dog with opinions, respects his boundaries, and understands that the best relationships take a little work.
After all, anybody can adopt a nice dog. It takes a special person to appreciate a little 10-pound menace with a secret sweet side
If you've ever uttered the phrase, "I don't care if he growls, all dogs love me," Coco would like to wish you the best...with a different dog.
If interested please fill out a preliminary and odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.
