Meet Penny

Penny is an adorable 2-year-old, approximately 12 pound miniature short-haired Dachshund with a beautiful brindle coat. Her very best friend is Rudy, a sweet little long haired mini Dachshund who weighs approximately 10 pounds. Penny and Rudy are completely bonded, and we are looking for a loving home where they can be adopted together.

Penny is fully vetted, housebroken, crate trained, and current on preventatives. She gets along well with children and other dogs and loves being close to her people.

Because Penny and Rudy are so attached to one another and thrive on companionship, their ideal adopter would be someone who works from home, is retired, or is home much of the day. They would make wonderful companions for someone looking for two small, loving dogs to share their home and daily life.

Penny is ready for her forever home now. Rudy has an upcoming veterinary appointment to be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Sunshine Acres Animal Sanctuary will pay for Rudy’s scheduled vetting; their adopter will simply be responsible for getting him to the appointment.

Penny and Rudy must be adopted together.

An adoption application and adoption fee are required. Once an application has been approved, a home check will also be completed prior to adoption.
