🐾❤️ SARGE — A GENTLE HEART THAT WAS ALMOST LOST ❤️🐾
Some dogs burst into your life with noise and excitement.
Sarge came quietly — with heavy paws, soulful eyes, and a heart that had already endured more than it ever should have.At around 6 years old, Sarge found himself scheduled to be euthanized. Not because he was aggressive. Not because he was unlovable. But because he was big, overlooked, and ran out of time.
We couldn’t let that happen to this wonderful boy.
Sarge is a Bull Mastiff who carries a powerful presence, yet everything about him is gentle. He is calm, affectionate, and deeply loyal — the kind of dog who leans into you, believing he belongs there. Despite his size, he truly thinks he’s a lapdog, and honestly… he carries that dream with conviction.
He doesn’t ask for much.
Just kindness.
A soft place to land.
And someone who won’t give up on him — ever again.
Sarge is past the chaos of puppyhood and fully settled into who he’s meant to be: a steady, loving companion who soaks up affection as if trying to store it for later. And when happiness gets the best of him, he still gets the zoomies — clumsy, joyful reminders that there’s a big, goofy puppy living inside that massive body. he is:
Dog friendly
House trained
Crate trained
Neutered
Up to date on vaccines
Zero aggression — completely and truly gentle
Sarge is heartworm positive, but he has already started the slow‑kill treatment and is doing exactly what he needs to do. This diagnosis does not define him — it is simply part of his journey, and one he faces with quiet trust.
People sometimes cross the street when they see him coming.
They see the size.
They see the mastiff build.
What they don’t see is the dog who melts into touch.
The dog who watches you like you’re his entire world.
The dog who was so close to losing everything — and still greets each day with love.
Sarge didn’t deserve to die.
He deserved a chance.
Now all he needs is his forever family — someone to show him that being saved wasn’t the end of his story… it was just the beginning. ❤️🐾
