🇺🇸
Phoenix, Arizona
July 14th
male, large, adult
DESCRIPTION
Tonkas size may be intimidating, but hes really just an 80 pound lap dog! Hes not interested in toys, fetch or tug, he just wants to be by your side to receive all the affection youre willing to give. His ideal home is just him and his BFF - you! Tonka was rescued by the Goodyear Police department after he was left tied to a motel parking structure. He was sent to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control where ABC rescued him from the euthanasia list. Tonka is built like a truck! He will need a devoted and experienced adopter who can manage his size and strength. His guy takes treats so gently and although he looks black with white, he is a beautiful dark, dark brindle color. If you have room in your heart and home for only one four-legged sidekick, then Tonka may be for you!
Included with adoptions spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, food sample, collar, and post adoption support.

ABOUT: AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER DOG BREED
The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
The Mastiff, a large and powerful breed with a history dating back to ancient times, is known for its gentle and loyal nature. These dogs are devoted family companions, often forming strong bonds with their owners. Despite their imposing size, Mastiffs are typically calm and patient, making them excellent protectors and watchdogs. With a distinctive wrinkled face and a massive build, Mastiffs require proper training and socialization to thrive in various environments.
