8/30/2026 - I keep telling my foster mom that I can't find my forever family if she doesn't let me use the computer. She says that I'm fitting in so well that it doesn't feel like I'm a foster. She says I'm easy. What's there not to be easy about? I love being on her lap while she's sitting and I graduated to sleeping out of the crate and on her bed! It only happened a few nights ago and I'm happy it did. I'm so good in the crate well, sort of, when it's time for her to leave, my foster siblings go right in the crate, me on the other hand is a different story. I hop on the arm of the couch and watch her carefully. I have to make sure she has cookies in her hands before I even think of moving off the couch. She says, "Wilson crate up", I glance and give her a look as if to say, "let me see those cookies". I spot them and go right in. One time, I ran in before the cookies and she was so proud of me, then I didn't see the cookies and came right back out. Lol Foster mom is most impressed by the amount of weight I gained. I'm officially 15 lbs today - gone are the bones that showed because I was out on my own for awhile. I love to eat and will eat anything that is put in front of me. I used to have a problem with peanut butter because of the consistency (boy that's a big word) but I watched and saw my foster siblings eat it so I got the hang of it. I forgot to tell you I was treated to a spa day......I thought about my being a guy and getting a nice robe and cigar in a sauna room but that didn't happen.
I was introduced to this nice man who scooped me up, gave me some sweet talk and before you know it, I was in this tub filled with water. He held onto me so I felt ok. Afterwards, he dried me off and shaved some of my fur off. Not too much on my body but he did do my front legs because foster mom said they looked like the Clydesdale horses. I never saw one so I honestly don't know. I love to sleep, eat, play and most of all cuddle with my foster mom. I'm not any trouble at all so if you're looking for a special companion, it's me, Wilson Pickett.......yes she's still singing that Mustang Sally song, help me, please help me!

8/4/26-Hard to believe Im in my foster home for 2 weeks already! I came in like Ive been here forever. I got to meet my 2 foster siblings who treated me like they knew me right off the bat. Funny thing, I do like to put my mark on things outside only and my foster brother followed me around and did his marking also. Now we are making a game of it. My foster sister couldnt care less about joining in that fun. Foster mom nicknamed me Wilson Pickett she says its a singer but Im not sure....she thinks she can carry a tune, but I hate to tell her she cant. She dances around the house with me in her arms and sings all you wanna do is ride around, baby, ride, Sally, ride....she claims this guy Wilson Pickett sang it but that was way before my time....I just listen to her and go with the flow. When I came here, you could say I lost some weight but that has since changed. I have my own feeding station, and I get to eat twice a day. While foster mom is preparing our meals, were all together which makes her happy, I have no food aggression. I go to my station when I am called and eat everything thats in my bowl. Oh, yes, Im crate trained I go in my crate for cookies and Im good. I sleep in my crate all night long with no peep out of me, ok, ok, when I first got here, I did do a few peeps the first 2 nights. I just wanted to be with everyone. I love to sit in my foster moms lap when she decides to come and sit down for a while. Im a little guy and could get lost in her lap for hours just because its so comfy. She tells me Im the perfect house guest, I dont make any trouble or noise (she must correct me on that one). You see if my foster brother barks, I have to bark with him or sometimes I start barking and he follows. She doesnt understand that barking is my way to communicate. When she tells us to stop, we do. Im looking for a new family to call my own, Im really a sweet gentle guy who just wants a lap to cuddle in, some food to eat and you know Im a good listener as well. Im the perfect pint size companion. Ok, here she goes again, now shes singing another Wilson Pickett song while Im tying.....something about please do wait til the midnight hour on deciding to adopt me.....Im here ready to go and I will be the perfect friend for you! Heres a little note from my foster Mom:
Wilson has a toy my girlfriend got him and played with it when he first got it, nows its in his crate. My boy Seale thinks all toys should be his. Lol I have a wild rabbit that comes in the yard and he ignores it. Theres no high prey drive in him except for food. lol For this reason we think Wilson will be ok with dog savvy cats.

7/23/26-I slept good last night, ate a hearty breakfast and now i am taking a nap. Yes, I helped myself onto the couch. Lol

7/22/26-Wilsons neuter went great & he has a good appetite to help him gain some weight. He has move to his foster home & will be ready for adoption soon.

7/20/26-Wilson ate a great dinner last night, which surprised me, but he's doing awesome Wilson has been dropped off at the vets for his neuter today. He crates right up for cookies, and not a peep out of him all night. Also clean dry crate this morning. He's just the sweetest boy. He's as sweet as he is cute, and loves people, and so far good with the other dogs.....however they all are bigger than he is.

7/19/26-Wilson is a cute & sweet about 3yr old Maltese mix is the guess. He was a stray to a Florida shelter a year ago & was adopted then by a couple who splits time between FL & Connecticut. Recently he was found by a CT shelter as a stray, skinny, overgrown hair & nails, and covered in ticks. They shaved him, applied topical tick prevention and tracked the owner to Florida who didnt want him back. No idea how he ended up in CT as stray or what happened in between. Today thanks to a volunteer he is now on his way into foster care for some TLC, fattening up & neuter then he will be ready for his forever home! Very sweet happy boy!
