Meet Captain!

Hi! My name is Captain, and I'm a 2-year-old Maltese mix weighing about 25 pounds.

I'm currently living with another dog, a cat, and a 4-year-old child. My dog brother is my best friend-I love following him around and being by his side! I get along just fine with the cat, too. Fast movements and energetic young children can make me nervous, so I'd do best in a calm home with older children or adults who understand that I need a little patience.

I really like people, but I need you to move slowly and give me time to build trust. Once I feel safe, my sweet personality starts to shine.

I did get loose from my foster home once, but I stayed nearby and found my way back within 24 hours. Because of this, I'll need a family that is committed to keeping me safely secured while I adjust to my new home.

Loud noises can be scary for me, but I'm kennel trained, potty trained, and very well behaved. I don't chew on things, and I haven't quite figured out what toys are for yet! I'm a gentle, quiet boy who enjoys the company of people and other dogs more than anything.

Captain is potty trained and tolerates his crate well. He is up to date on all vaccines and preventives. He is also neutered and microchiped.
