Meet Karat!

This sweet and tiny girl came to the Mission as a stray, transferred in from Animal Control in Idaho. Karat has an estimated birthdate of 05/01/2025, and is a mixed Maltese breed.

Karat is petite, and tolerated her grooming experience very well. She would do well in a home with other animals and children, and has the ability to leash walk. We are starting in on kennel training, and she is progressing well with house training.

Karat did have to be shaved due to severe matting, but with proper maintenance, she can have any length of hair. She is very muscular and athletic. She *could* be a purse dog, but she could also be a great running partner, and will enjoy hiking, biking, and dogsports. Don't judge a book by it's cover, right?
