Barbara (Babs) - Maltese Dog for Adoption in Sandy Springs, Georgia

Meet Barbara!! Babs is a sweet and sassy 11 yr old Maltese mix who had a family her whole life until one day they just up and abandoned her. We have no idea why but there couldn't possibly be a good enough reason to abandon sweet Babs on her own!

Given Babs history of abandonment she gets very attached to her people and wants to be nearby all of the time. Because of that, she will require someone who is either retired or works remote - Babs will not be happy home alone for hours at a time. She would prefer adult human company though - no children and preferably no other dogs. Babs is house trained when kept on a schedule but will also use pee pads and is a great little leash walker!

They are gentle, affectionate companion dogs that thrive on human companionship and make wonderful family pets. Maltese dogs are playful, intelligent, and alert, with a confident demeanor despite their small size. They require regular grooming to maintain their luxurious coat and are suitable for apartment living due to their size and adaptability.
