She's just so gentle and lovely that you'll know what a sweetheart she is the moment you meet her. Sweet Pea is a 4-year-old nugget who we think is a Maltese mix. She weighs 11 pounds.

She likes to give kisses, and she absolutely loves kids! All people are her friends, but she comes to life when there are kiddos around She gets along great with other dogs as well. Because she saves all her love for people and other canine friends, she should live in a cat-free home.

Sweet Pea knows basic commands and comes when she's called, and she is a great girl around the house. She doesn't get into stuff that's not hers, and she sleeps peacefully on her dog bed at night. A daily walk would be nice, and she does fine on the leash.

She is crate-trained and mostly house-trained, but she will have occasional accidents. She shows some signs that she might have been mistreated previously, so that might be related. Her affection and cuteness will override anything like that, though, we promise!

Her ideal home is a patient home with kids, because she adores them so much. Because she was found as a stray, she'd probably do best with a fenced yard.
