**Meet Auggie!**

Auggie is a 12.5-year-old, 13-pound Yorkie mix who is looking for a loving place to call home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

This sweet, quiet little guy is still adjusting after losing his owner and learning that the world is a safe place again.

Auggie loves lounging on the couch, snuggling under cozy blankets, and following his favorite person around the house. He currently sleeps with his foster mom and enjoys being close to his people, although he's a little shy about asking for attention. He's unsure of new people at first but eventually warms up. We think there's a little cuddle bug hiding in there just waiting to come out! He also has the cutest little snores when he's sleeping.

A few things to know about Auggie:

- He previously lived with 7 other small dogs. He coexists with his foster's resident dog but can be a little nervous around her.
- He may be deaf or partially deaf.
- He's doing well on a leash and making good progress with potty training.
- A fenced-in yard would be wonderful! He gets very excited to go outside and loves having room to run.
- He has significant separation anxiety and will need a patient family who is home most of the time and willing to help him learn to feel comfortable alone. A home where occasional barking won't disturb neighbors would be ideal.

Auggie is looking for a patient, loving family who will give him the time and reassurance he needs to feel safe and build confidence. In return, you'll have a loyal little shadow who just wants to be wherever you are.

**One more thing:** Auggie still needs a dental, which will be covered by the rescue. His adopter will need to be able to get him to his veterinary appointment in Plymouth. A surgery date has not been scheduled yet.
