Hero is a goofy, affectionate Lab mix who has truly blossomed in foster care. When he first arrived, he was a little guarded, but over the past four months he has learned to trust, snuggle, and let his silly personality shine.

Hero loves attention and being near his people. Call his name and you'll likely get an adorable butt wiggle in return! He is playful, incredibly sweet, and has a way of making everyone around him laugh.

He has medium-to-high energy and would love a family who enjoys walks, hikes, adventures, and simply spending time together. He has also gotten much better at settling in the house and does wonderfully in his kennel. He has good house manners, responds well to boundaries, and has been working with a trainer on impulse control and confidence. He really enjoys training and learning new things.

Potty training is still a work in progress, but he is making good progress and just needs frequent trips outside while he continues to mature. He is crate trained and settles very well in his kennel.

Hero does wonderfully with both dogs and cats and would likely enjoy having another dog around. He can be timid when meeting new people, so he needs a patient family who will give him time to warm up and continue helping him build confidence in new situations.

A fenced yard would be wonderful, but isn't required. An apartment could work as long as his family is committed to getting him outside frequently and keeping him active.

Hero has come such a long way, and his foster family has loved watching him become the goofy, loving, snuggly boy he is today. He's ready for a family who will continue to help him grow and, most importantly, love him for all the silly, wiggly joy he brings.
