Approximate Weight: 27 lbs as of 4/12/26; he is still growing!

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special adoption considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.

Hefty is Looking For: His forever home! Hefty and his sister Hiba enjoyed growing up together but now they're ready to split up and get their own homes. Hefty is no longer a tiny squishy baby but he's still a puppy and wants what puppies want - play time and exploration and cuddles. Sniffy walks, romps with pup pals, all the adventures his humans can dream up - yes, please! And dog school, so he can show how super smart he is. Aaand... because he's super smart, he knows he shares a name with a brand of trash bags. Change of name, please?Hefty is looking forward to loving and being loved by his humans, to being a loyal companion for all his days. Are you his happily ever after?
What My Foster Says About Me: Hefty is super sweet and social with my resident dog. He is settling in nicely. He is learning to walk on leash and excited to explore his environment.
