COURTESY POST: ETTA
Domestic Long Hair
🇺🇸
New York, New York
June 2nd
female, medium, adult
DESCRIPTION
Etta was living in the cold in a colony behind a mall in Poughkeepsie where she was proving affectionate and sociable with anyone who fed her. That made her vulnerable!
Since she has been with me she had shown herself to be good natured and gentle. She follows me from room to room and loves to spend the night cuddled up next to me in bed.
Etta is healthy, happy and warm, but unfortunately she is FeLV positive. Currently, though, Etta is in remission and asymptomatic, which is great news! Asymptomatic FeLV positive cats are not likely to be contagious to other cats. Etta, in her rescuer's home for a year, has remained healthy!
This poor girl has had a struggle but is a beautiful, sweet and loving lady who needs someone willing to take on an FeLV cat or someone looking for a companion for their FeLV cat at home.
