Age: Approx 5 months old as of 6/26/26

Weight: Approx 42 lbs.

Onyx and his siblings were born in foster care in Mississippi. His mom was found as a stray during an ice storm. Based on the coats of some of the puppies in the litter dad is believed to have been a doodle mix.

He gets along well with other dogs, cats are unknown. He is shy at first but warms up quickly. He likes playing with toys and having his belly rubbed. Onyx is a very smart, affectionate and playful puppy. He is not yet house or crate trained. He does not yet know how to walk on a leash.

**As part of the donation, this puppy will participate in a spay/neuter program available through Anchor Paws Rescue. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.**

A deposit is not required when you submit an application. Once you have chosen a specific dog that you would like to adopt, if you would like to move forward with the adoption approval process, the next step would be to submit a $200 deposit donation. You can pay your deposit securely through PayPal at this link:

Once we have your deposit, we will hold the dog for you while we process your application. If you are not approved to adopt, or we cannot provide the dog you are interested in, your deposit will be promptly refunded. If you are approved, the deposit is applied toward the total donation of the dog. If the dog you are interested in is not a good match, we will work with you to find another dog, and your deposit will be transferred to that dog. If you change your mind for any reason, your deposit is not refundable!

Transport costs are normally included in the adoption donation, unless otherwise noted.
