πΎπ Hi! I'm a pretty special girl! ππΎ
Let me tell you a little secret... I only have one front leg. But honestly? I don't really see what the big deal is! ππΆ
I'm a happy, sweet, fairly mellow girl who has figured out how to get around just fine on three legs. In fact, I'm pretty darn fast! π¨πΎ I'm determined, capable, and definitely not interested in letting one missing leg slow me down.
And guess what?! I can even do stairs! π₯° I'm still working on building my confidence, but I'm learning more every day and showing everyone just how adaptable I am.
When I'm not busy showing off my three-legged skills, I'm perfectly happy being your sweet companion. I love being part of whatever is happening, spending time with my people, and soaking up all the affection I can get. β€οΈ
My missing leg is just one small part of my story. It doesn't define me, and it certainly doesn't stop me from enjoying life! I have plenty of zoomies, cuddles, adventures, and love left to give. πΎπ
I'm looking for a family who will see me for who I really am--a happy, loving girl who just happens to do things a little differently.
So, are you ready for a three-legged best friend who will show you that nothing can hold a determined girl back? πΆπ
I'm ready for my forever home and all the adventures waiting for us!
Love,
Your future three-legged best friend πΎπ
***FOSTER TO ADOPT***
Abby is heartworm positive and not yet spayed. She is currently going through heartworm treatment. Once her treatment is complete, it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a microfilaria test 30 days after treatment for a preliminary result. Then, a heartworm test 9 months after treatment for final results. During treatment, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise until she receives a negative microfilaria test. Abby will also need continued use of monthly heartworm preventives going forward. This will all be covered by Warrior Dog until her last injection. Any other medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. Once she receives a negative result on her microfilaria test she will need to be spayed. The adoption can be finalized once treatment in complete and she is spayed.
--------------------------------------------
All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.
