ANIKA

Labrador Retriever
🇺🇸
Sadler, Texas
May 5th
female, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Anika is the kind of dog who just gets it—easygoing, loving, and always happy to be by your side.

This beautiful ~3-year-old Retriever mix weighs just under 50 pounds and has spent her life as a companion dog. After losing her hearing due to an untreated ear infection, her previous family made the difficult decision to rehome her. Thankfully, a dedicated foster specializing in medical needs dogs stepped in and gave Anika the stability and care she deserved.

Now, due to her foster mom facing a terminal illness, Anika is once again in need of a loving, forever home.

Anika is:
• Deaf (and does amazing!)
• Spayed and fully vaccinated
• Dog, cat, and kid friendly
• Leash trained
• Excellent in the car (your ideal copilot!)
• Gentle, affectionate, and easygoing

Anika truly loves everyone she meets. Her tail is always wagging, and she carries a constant soft “smile.” She enjoys her daily walks and likes to stay connected—often checking back in with her person to make sure you’re right there with her.

At home, she’s content to relax and be part of the routine, but she also enjoys getting out and about to see the world. She balances calm companionship with just the right amount of curiosity and social energy.

Despite being deaf, Anika navigates life beautifully. She is attentive, observant, and naturally tuned in to her people. She doesn’t let her hearing loss slow her down one bit.

Her foster describes her as the perfect companion—and her vet agrees, noting what a wonderful and cooperative patient she is.

💛 If you’re looking for a loyal, low-drama, all-around good dog, Anika is ready to be your constant.
