What we know: Litter of 5 (4F, 1M) transferred from Animal Rescue Friends of Floydada in Texas at approximately 4 months old. Litter came in as an owner surrender, no further information is known.
From the foster: Nora is a once in a lifetime dog. And to be clear, what we mean is that she's got that old soul vibe where she just melts into your life like she's always been there. Kids? Cool, she'll give them kisses and oblige their hugs. Other dogs? Awesome. K9 company is cool, but it's you she's here for. 24/7. Anywhere you go, every step you take, Nora is right there at your feet and will sit and chill waiting for you to make your next move. She's not much of a nibbler, aside from the normal puppy stuff, but even then all you have to do is barely look and say "ah - ah" and she's understood the message and selects the next appropriate item to gnaw on. This girl is so special and will be your immediate bestie, always and forever.
Nora has been great at holding her potty, choosing to go outside whenever she has the chance. Overnight she sleeps in a crate with her littermates and will only use the potty pads/newspaper if she gets desperate for a midnight tinkle. Otherwise they sleep like champions from 10pm to 6am, although in a new environment without her siblings, we are guessing she'll be vocal for the first few nights. Just keep her close, even in her crate, and give her a cozy spot with a bed and stuffy (the kind with the heartbeat inside "snuggle puppy's" are the best!) and she'll get the hang of it.
While Nora's history is a bit of an unknown - a probably shepherd/pit/labby(?) mix of a thing, she is significantly bigger than her other two littermates we are fostering. She's the larger than life soul-mate you've been waiting for, and despite being dropped unceremoniously at a shelter with her siblings with zero info, we feel it in our bones that this girl is meant for great things. Don't wait on her - she's in it for the long haul so long as you are.
