OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Buddy and his littermates were born in a remote area of Manitoba. These puppies have spent most of their time outside in the company of other dogs and also cats. They are friendly but somewhat shy given they haven't had an abundance of human attention. They simply need time to learn that people can be trusted and that the world is a safe place.
Buddy is food motivated so with treats and a little time, he will approach and interact with people. Their confidence will grow with patience and positive experiences. Because they have been raised in more of a rural environment, a peaceful suburban or rural home would be ideal. A busy city could be overwhelming for them but if they had a friendly, confident and well-socialized dog in the home as a companion it would be beneficial.
They always look to each other for companionship and would learn a great deal by following the example of a confident canine friend. They will need a gentle hand, a kind heart and, most importantly, patience. They aren't puppies who should be rushed or expected to immediately feel comfortable in a new environment but rather someone willing to give them the time and space to decompress, build trust and discover what it feels like to be safe, loved and truly part of a family. With that patience and understanding, they have every opportunity to blossom into wonderful companions.
