River is a 3-year-old, 120-pound Lab mix who is basically a giant baby in dog form. Don’t let his size fool you - he thinks he’s a lap dog and would happily spend all day soaking up love from his people.

He’s settling into his foster home wonderfully and is already showing what a sweet, affectionate guy he is. The shelter reports that River does well with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a pretty easy guy to picture fitting into a family. He is a little unaware of his size, so a home without really small children or a family willing to monitor him closely around them would be best.

potty trained, crate trained, neutered, and up to date on his vaccines
. He’s a big, lovable goofball looking for a home that has room for all of him and is active to match his energy. He loves long walks, but could use some help developing his leash manners.
