Meet Ruby. Her birthday is approximately 5/1/23.
Ruby came to us in May 2026. She had a pitiful start to life. She was found dumped on the streets in Northern Mississippi by a college student who happened to be the daughter of a recent adopter. They reached out to us and asked if we could help Ruby. They brought her to a transporter close to MS/ TN line and then she came to us. We got her into a foster and she has done fabulous. This poor girl had been overbred, had demodex mange, heartworms and ear infections she looked awful. She looked so badly that she wax thought to be over 8. However, after being treated for all of this and receiving some love and care, she looks and acts much younger. We have her at age 3, based on her teeth, which look great by the way. She is very timid at times until she learns you are not going to hit her. She was apparently abused by someone in her past. This does not hold her back or affect her sweet demeanor toward those who want to give her love. She loves tk be cuddled and loved!
A few words from her foster Mom...Rue doesnt shed! Thats a major plus! Shes loving and playful, her personality is really starting to show through after all the crap shes been thru. Shes smart, listens when you talk to her. Shes fine with cats, dogs, birds, people. Loves to cuddle and has learned to walk on a leash.
Her adoption fee is $350 and covers her vetting. She will have a Parvo/Distemper shot with Lepto, shot, rabies, Bordetella, spay, microchip, heartworm test. She will also on be started flea and tick medicine and heartworm treatment which takes 8 months from start in June. This expense is being covered by the rescue until she tests negative even if she gets adopted before then.
