GIA is a wonderful girl, full of love and blessed with a perfect, moderate energy level. She adores both giving and receiving kisses and is always happy to curl up for a cuddle. A fun-loving and affectionate companion, Gia enjoys simply being in the same room as her people. While she would love to share your bed, she’s just as content sleeping in her own doggie bed nearby. Overall, she is a truly lovely dog who will make someone very happy.

Gia is housetrained and has excellent manners. Her foster mom describes her as very bright—she has adapted quickly and easily to her foster home and has learned the rules with ease. She already knows how to sit and lie down and is currently working on “stay” and “wait.” She also walks very nicely on a leash.

Smart and lively, Gia loves to play! She responds well to gentle but firm guidance. She has a beautiful black and brown brindle coat, along with four white “shoes” that she proudly wears year-round. At around 40 pounds, she is a sturdy and ideal medium size. One of her cutest habits is her signature “sploot” when she lies on her tummy.

Gia enjoys the company of other dogs, especially her foster brother—though she does like to boss him around from time to time! She generally loves people, although she can be a little nervous around men at first. With a bit of time and reassurance, she warms up beautifully and has become very devoted to the two men in her foster home. She will bark when someone comes to the door and is appropriately protective of her home. Gia is also good with children, including young kids as young as three years old. All in all, Gia is a truly lovely dog who will bring happiness and companionship to a very lucky home.
