Meet Buster!

This handsome guy is around 2 - 4 years old and weighs around 60 pounds. He has been in three foster homes during his time in rescue and has been wonderful in all the different circumstances.

Buster is calm and friendly and meets new people and animals in a very nice way! Buster came into rescue perfectly house trained and with nice house manners – he must have been in a home with someone!

When his people leave, he will sometimes try to go out the door with them but not to run away just to join them. Car rides are fun for him, but he sometimes wants to ride in his person’s lap! It is best to secure him in the backseat! Buster hasn’t shown any distress being left alone.

While Buster isn’t a fan of thunderstorms, he is just a little nervous and likes to find comfort by sitting on the back of a couch. He is crate trained but has been very well-behaved when left loose in the house. Buster isn’t a chewer or a big fan of toys. He mostly wants to hang out and be with his people. At night he is comfortable sleeping on a dog bed next to his humans!

Buster has been in foster homes with a variety of dogs and has gotten along well with all of them. He sits nicely waiting for his turn for a treat and while he gets very excited for mealtime, he doesn’t try to finish anyone else’s food.

Buster has also been in a foster home without dogs and enjoyed soaking up all the attention from his person. Although he hasn’t been in a foster home with young children, he has such a calm manner he would probably do very well with them. Buster has been great with cats as well and totally leaves them alone.
