Red is a stunning, leggy young Lab mix with a heart just as big as her paws! She came to us from our partners at Ozarks Pet Rescue, after being confiscated from a home in Arkansas. There were nearly 30 dogs living on the property, with no running water or electricity, and not all dogs made it. Despite her rough start, and the fact that not every dog made it out, Red's spirit is nothing short of incredible. She's joyful, resilient, and always ready to share her happiness with everyone she meets.
Red is as friendly as they come, she gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a great fit for a variety of homes. She's still learning the ropes of puppy life and is currently working on crate training and basic manners. With a little consistency and patience, she's going to grow into an amazing lifelong companion.
This playful, affectionate girl would thrive in a home that's ready to continue her training and help her build confidence as she blossoms into adulthood. In return, she'll give you endless love, laughter, and those signature long-legged zoomies!
Red is currently available as a foster-to-adopt within 30 minutes of our shelter while she awaits her spay surgery. If you're ready to open your home, and your heart, to a truly special pup, Red is ready to meet you.
All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs
