Shayla - Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Littleton, Colorado

Meet little Shayla, a four-month-old girl who currently weighs about 20 lbs! Shayla and her brothers, Sammy and Leo, started life on the beach in Piñones Loiza, a neighborhood in Puerto Rico. Luckily, the siblings were caught and brought to safety. Shayla's beach days are behind her, and we're excited to help her find a home of her own!

At four months old, Shayla is just getting started. There's a whole world of neighborhood walks, toy baskets, and cozy places to nap waiting for her. She's looking for a family ready for puppyhood and all that comes with it, including helping her learn household routines and giving her time to settle in.

Usually, satos (homeless dogs from Puerto Rico) are a mix of many breeds, some chihuahua, some lab, maybe some pittie, you name it! We don't know exactly what breed Shayla is. Like her brothers, she's a one-of-a-kind mix! She's about 20 lbs right now and still has some growing to do, so we can't promise exactly how big she'll get.

Shayla isn't spayed yet and still needs to finish her vaccine cycle, but she is available as a foster-to-adopt. This is when a future owner takes over as the foster, and once all the adoption criteria are met, they complete the process!

If you are interested in adopting our Shayla, please fill out the application here. There is a $400 adoption donation:
