Meet Mr. Bear - 87 Pounds of Goofy, Lovable Sweetness!Mr. Bear had a pretty rough start in life. He was found wandering a road in southern Ohio when he was only about 4 months old-alone, covered in mange and blood, and a pretty sorry-looking little guy.

You would never know it looking at him now.

Today, Mr. Bear is a big, happy, goofy boy who absolutely LOVES his people. He's an 87-pound Golden Retriever mix (with Pit Bull, Boxer and German Shepherd in the mix), and his favorite place to be is wherever you are.

Working from home? He'll rest his big head on your lap. Going to bed? He'd be happy to stretch out at the end of it. Want to play fetch? Clear your schedule. This boy could chase a ball all day.

Sadly, through absolutely no fault of his own, Mr. Bear needs a new family. His owner is movi to the UK and is unable to take him, so our goal is to find Bear a home where he can be just as loved for the rest of his life.

Even waits patiently for the magic "OK!" before eating his dinner

Great for baths-and apparently enjoys putting on his bathrobe afterward

A little clumsy and doesn't always realize he's 87 pounds, so older kids would be best

Needs a fenced yard because his curious brain sometimes takes him off on his own adventures

Mr. Bear does have allergies to grass, dust mites and chicken. They are currently well managed with a chicken-free diet, daily medication and medicated baths every couple of weeks. His family has already done the hard work of figuring out what works for him, and his complete medical history and routine will go with him.

And then there are the socks.

Mr. Bear thinks they're irresistible, so his future family will need to keep the laundry secured and redirect him to his appropriate chew toys. Consider this your official warning that Bear and an unattended laundry basket should not be left to negotiate amongst themselves.

What Bear really needs isn't complicated: a fenced yard, someone willing to continue his allergy care, plenty of balls to chase, and people who want a big dog who loves BIG.

He's already known what it's like to be alone once in his life. We'd really love for his next move to be the one that gives him his forever.
