Queso’s story began in a heartbreaking place, her mama and siblings were found tucked away in a bushy area beside a busy road in the middle of a wooded area near a Mexican Restaurant. That’s where her mom chose to nest and give birth, just trying to keep her babies safe. She had been spotted wandering the streets days before, but wasn’t found again until she had her puppies. When they were discovered, one of the puppies had sadly already passed at the scene.
Queso is one of just four surviving puppies.
Despite such a rough start, Queso is everything a puppy should be, sweet, playful, and full of personality. She’s an 8-week-old female who loves spending time with her siblings.
Her mom weighs about 39 pounds and appears to be a Black Lab mix. Dad is unknown, but Queso is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog.
Like any young puppy, Queso is still learning. She will need a patient and committed adopter who understands potty training, puppy energy, and all the love and work that comes with raising a puppy.

Queso will be spayed and fully vaccinated prior to finalizing adoption.

Queso has already overcome so much, now she just needs a forever home to show her what a happy ending looks like.
