Sometimes, even with the best intentions and plenty of love, a match just isn’t quite right—and that’s okay. Sweet senior, Cyrus, was recently returned to us after his adoptive family realized his strength and need for long, active walks were more than they could manage day to day. We welcomed Cyrus back with open arms, and after a little moment of uncertainty, he settled right back in.

At 12 years young and 53 lbs., Cyrus still has plenty of pep in his step! He’s still very strong, loves long walks, but also appreciates the slower pace of a calm, quiet home. He’s the perfect mix of adventure buddy and affectionate, laid-back companion.
