DESCRIPTION

Hi friends, my name is Bandicoot.

I’m a 3 month old Yellow Lab Mix and weigh about 20 lbs so far. I’ve spent most of my life believing the world is a very scary place and have just started to realize how nice humans can be to puppies like me!

I am almost completely potty trained and know how to sit (from a distance) .. and if you could toss my treat towards me at first until I trust you I would really love that. My favorite place to be is about 2 feet away from you at all times, but I will make sure to give you lots of love before settling down nearby. I love my foster mom and her kids (8 & 3 years old) and am warming up to everyone more every single day. My big sister Hippo and brother Gator have been the BEST and show me all their tricks for being a happy and trusting doggy, they even let me cuddle with them when I’m sleepy!

A few things I have experienced for the first time and mastered since being here are : getting pets from humans • playing with toys • wearing a collar • getting picked up • taking treats from people • laying belly up • being outside • sleeping in my kennel • riding in the car (outside of a crate) • giving puppy kisses and snugs •

A few things I’m still working on are :

- not being afraid of my leash

- not being afraid of other humans

- not being afraid of new environments

As you can see - I’m still pretty scared and need someone who has patience and time to spend with me to help me understand that the world isn’t what I experienced before I got to Adopt A Pit.

Do you think you could be the right fit for me ? If so - apply to adopt me and I promise to be the bravest boy for you
