Roxy Moxie Divine - Labrador Retriever and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

Meet Roxy Moxie Divine!

4 months old Chocolate Lab A little sweetness, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of Moxie!

This girl has a look all her own! Her rich chocolate coat has the most incredible golden coloring woven throughout, almost as if someone took a little ray of sunshine and shined it right onto her fur. It’s an absolutely gorgeous feature that is hard to do justice with photos. This unique glow is exactly where the Divine in her name comes from!

But Roxy’s beauty isn’t just skin deep. This 4-month-old chocolate Lab has the kindest eyes and the sweetest little soul. She’s the sort of puppy who makes you want to stop whatever you’re doing and spend a little time soaking up her sweetness.

Roxy currently shares her foster home with her Lab sister, and these two have a wonderful time together! They play beautifully, enjoy each other’s company, and make the most of having a built-in best friend. But Roxy also has a lovely sense of balance. She enjoys her puppy playtime but knows when it’s time to take a break. She’s not interested in running herself ragged just because the fun is available. She knows how to play hard and rest when she needs to!

And honestly, she’s just as happy snuggled up with her people as she is romping around with her sister. Roxy has that lovely combination of playful puppy spirit and affectionate companionship. She’s perfectly content to enjoy a little fun and then settle in for some quality cuddle time.

At four months old, Roxy is still discovering the world, learning new things, and growing into the wonderful dog she’s meant to be. She’ll need a family ready for all the fun, training, patience, and adventures that come with raising a Lab puppy, but she’ll reward them with a lifetime of devotion and love.

If you’re looking for a puppy with a beautiful heart, the kindest eyes, a wonderfully balanced little personality, and a coat that looks like it has its own built-in sunshine, Roxy Moxie Divine is ready to steal your heart.

A little chocolate, a little golden sunshine, a whole lot of Moxie, and something undeniably Divine.

We care deeply about creating lasting matches between dog and family for long term success, and take the time to ensure each adoption is a fit through our matchmaking process.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

The Labrador Retriever is a popular and versatile dog breed known for its friendly demeanor and high intelligence. These dogs are often used as guide dogs for the visually impaired, search and rescue dogs, and excellent family pets. Labradors are known for their great sense of smell, strong build, and love of water, making them exceptional hunters and swimmers. With their loyal and loving nature, Labradors have rightfully earned their reputation as one of the most beloved dog breeds in the world.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
